I qualified in 2003 and I am a Fellow Member of the International Society for Psychotherapy and Counselling. I was also a Registered and Senior Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (2011 – 2024) but I resigned due to the unfair impositions of Scoped. Additionally I am a Senior Accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society and the National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists. I am bound by the Ethical Frameworks for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy of the above organisations.
I am a trained and qualified Supervisor offering supervision to other counsellors. Also, I work as a Supervisor for the University of Salford on the BSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy course, supervising student counsellors and helping them to develop their counselling practice.
I have researched in-depth into counselling, looking at what clients find useful in their sessions. My goal is to work with a client to find the most effective therapy that helps them. I use a range of therapeutic approaches aiming to create a bespoke therapy that meets each individual client’s needs.
I have a great deal of experience working with work stress, anxiety and depression and working with relationship difficulties.
I am available for all types of general counselling but with a particular interest in working with bereavement and loss. I also offer counselling for dealing with cancer and associated trauma, for patients themselves and family or friends also affected by a cancer diagnosis.
